Meet Rozalynn Mapes

Rozalynn's journey began on December 22, 2020 when she began vomiting and having numbness in her face. After taking her to the doctor she was diganosed with DIPG on Christmas Eve 2020. Shortly after Rozalynn's diagnosis in her home state of Wisconsin, she began radiation and then enrolled in the ONC201 trial at the University of Michigan.

Rozzy's favorite color was purple and she loved sunflowers. She ate anything with potatoes, was a huge fan of chicken nuggets and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. She liked playing Fortnite with her brother and her mom says she enjoyed the things a typical teenage girl does.

On July 28, 2021, Rozlaynn had an MRI that showed her tumor had progressed. Her mom started investigating other trials and treatment options for Rozalynn. Unfortunately as is the case with DIPG, there was not much more they could do for her besides another round of radation and pray her symptoms would be minimal. Rozzy battled DIPG bravely for almost a year and was healed in Heaven on November 22, 2021.
