Meet Finn Cusick

Finn Cusick was diagnosed on November 17th, 2022 with a brain tumor, a Diffuse Midline Glioma of the Pons, more commonly known as DIPG.

Finn is a courageous, big-hearted nine-year-old. He has no trouble standing up for his friends and finding his voice when something is not right. His parents always say Finn could be lost in the wilderness and live to tell the tale. He is resourceful, insightful, and a solutionist.

Before his diagnosis, Finn was always building with any materials he could find, riding his bike, and playing baseball. He is heartbroken by his disease. Not only for himself, but for all children suffering with this cruel cancer. His sisters struggle everyday seeing him in his condition. And Finn, being a humble character, struggles with people seeing him with these new disabilities, especially his sisters.

Diffuse Midline Glioma (DIPG) is a cruel, aggressive, and terminal pediatric brain cancer that needs awareness, resources, and funds for research. Kids like Finn are giving a bleak 6-12 month prognosis once diagnosed. Radiation and steroids are the only standard of care, used to keep symptoms from the tumor at bay, followed by possible clinical trials.
